5 Concert Livestreams to Help Ease The Pain Of No Summer Concerts
It's been a weird year for live music.
We know it's been a tough year for music fans, and all the music fans here at AV Design Consultants can certainly relate. After all, it’s why we do this for a living. While some places have experimented with different concert experiences -- or even drive-through concerts -- there still hasn't been a replacement for going out and listening and enjoying live music around town.
So, to help spread some much-needed musical merriment, we've gone through and searched for concert streams that you can enjoy right from the comfort of your home. That's right -- all you need to do is turn your hi-fi speakers and entertainment center on and you'll be able to sit back and enjoy a front-row seat to concerts from around the world. We've got a little something for everybody here, so take a second to enjoy the silver lining of 2020: Great music delivered right to your home.
1. Sweet, Sweet Relief
Back in May, speaker manufacturer Klipsch put together a "Keepers of the Sound" Sweet Relief Concert, bringing together members of Velvet Revolver, Skid Row, and the Spin Doctors, as well as Butch Walker, Don Jamieson, RIPE, and Jennie Devoe. Klipsch knows a thing or two (OK, or three) about sound, and that is sure to be music to your ears through the nearly two-hour streaming extravaganza they put together for everybody to enjoy without leaving their home.
You supply the speakers, and get ready to rock, right from your chair.
2. Shipping Up to Boston
All of the changes taking place around the world have impacted many different aspects of life, including how we celebrate holidays. While it may seem like both a second ago and an eternity ago, St. Patrick's Day was one of the first events that got lost this year.
Luckily, Boston's own Dropkick Murphys have put together a two-hour set -- Streaming Outta Fenway -- with plenty of material to get you up and dancing. None other than The Boss, Bruce Springsteen himself, also makes an appearance, and the stream is also raising money for some important charities, as well.
It might be awhile before any of us are able to actually head to Boston -- or enjoy sporting arena-sized events -- so this will have to do in the meantime.
3. Classically Trained
Rock musicians aren't the only ones who have gotten the digital memo, classical musicians have definitely taken note of how the times are changing.
Take this stream -- Beethoven 360 -- which brought together more than a thousand participants from around the world. 25 nations and 26 orchestra were represented in this performance of "Ode to Joy" from Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. And, if you have a VR setup, you can take advantage of the concert's 360-degree experience.
Of course, if your TV and speaker setup aren't doing any of these concerts justice, then, well, it's past time for an upgrade! Give us a call at 479-365-2201 today and we'd be glad to help you figure out the best next steps to take toward upgrading your home entertainment.
4. Jazz Hands
We've rocked, we've rolled, we've even gone classical, but what would a music list be without a little bit of jazz? Presented by the Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra, these Virtual Birdland concerts are everything you need to pretend that your favorite summer jazz festival is still in full swing.
5. DJ EZ, 24/7
What's better than your own personal stream of DJ EZ performing?
How about a 24-hour, non-stop set by DJ EZ? You asked, he delivered.
If you are really looking for a musical marathon, EZ's 24-hour stream is perfect for those working-from-home days when you really just need some music to help the hours and days go by quicker. Just make sure the bass on your system is up to the task!
No matter how you listen to music at home, we're here to help you create the best sounding experience possible. Whether you want a better home theater system for these streams or are ready to dive into the world of 2-channel audio, give us a call at 479-365-2201 today!
